Pacific Sporthorse Selection
The weekend of September 6th and 7th marked the third annual Pacific Sporthorse Selection which was a resounding success! It was certainly a highlight of the year for the more than 400 guests who attended. Once again the Gala afternoon was a spectacular time with wine tasting and fun performances. This year vendor village and PSS University were two areas in particular that showed expansion much to the delight of those who came.
Thank you to the sponsors, sellers, buyers, vendors, artists, speakers and guests who supported this very worthy event. The top bid in the PSS Auction itself was $61,000 for a stunning imported 3 year old by De Champ. The average hammer price at the auction was $32,080.00. Horses will be heading to their new owners as far away as Colorado and Florida this year!
In addition to the horse auction, the Pacific Sporthorse Selection raised: $8,691 for their two charities, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and CDS Club 100. These funds were raised through raffles, valuable auction items, and donations from guests attending PSS University. In particular, the items generously donated by Schleese Saddlery, Bernard Weston Art, Schockemöhle Stud, and the Landgestüt Celle in Germany helped to raise these funds.
